On 22 and 23 of September, Tokai COBEX has officially commissioned new investments with a multi-million złoty value in its Nowy Sącz and Racibórz plants in Poland using best available technology and contributing to protect the environment.

Following its GROW-Strategy and with the support of the Kraków Technology Park and the Katowice Special Economic Zone, under the Polish Investment Zone – those investments are now ready for production. Among the participants during the official opening ceremonies were the representatives of government administration and public institutions, local government officials, contractors as well as the entire management board of Tokai COBEX. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki addressed a congratulatory letter to the Company’s management board, which was read out on his behalf by Silesian Deputy Governor Robert Magdziarz, who was present in Racibórz.

The investments facilitate the sustainability of both Polish plants. This has the effect of increasing the efficiency and productivity of production and is associated with real benefits for the environment and the local community. These include a reduction in fuel (gas) consumption by up to 30 per cent, new workplaces and the relief of the public road infrastructure by up to 1.000 lorries a year. The implementation of the investments was also stimulating the economy for several local companies and subcontractors working on both sites.

“By investments in our production process and reducing emissions we are producing now more economically and with less environmental impact.”, assured Andrzej Hotloś, President of the Management Board of Tokai COBEX Polska.
